I wasn't a massive fan of Ashlee's previous offerings, i thought they were both pretty cliched and flowed within the same vein as any other punk rocking teenager who the whole world seems to be against, but now it seems Ashlee has decided to break away from the cliche and hired mega producer Timberland to help her
and it really paid off, Ashlee's new sound is dynamic, fresh and upbeat, nearly every song has you tapping your feet in anticipation to get up and dance,
although saying this, Ashlee still has one or two rocky edged songs in there which don't really fit in with the overall sound of the album but are solid tracks within their own right.

Ashlee's voice is top notch and the production is just right, as you would expect from Mr Timberland, Ashlee is never forced to fight over the music, neither is she thrust to the front, her voice and the production compliment each other perfectly, helping Ashlee to produce 12 stunning tracks

Stand out tracks are 'Outta My Head', 'Boys', 'Rule Breaker', 'Little Miss Obsessive', 'Murder', 'Hot Stuff'

This album is a lot more poppy than any of her other ones; personally I don't prefer it this way and liked her better when she was 'rock chick'.

There are however a few more rocky tracks, the sort of stuff seen on her first album Autobiography. These tracks are excellent. If the album had a couple more of these tracks on then it would be excellent.

Ashlee Simpsons 3rd album is a departure from her previous 2 but in a good way. It shows throwback to the 80's on a few of the tracks.

It contains big beats & is fun, funky and fresh.
& it also contains 3 bonus tracks. 2 of which are the lead singles from her 1st two albums.

My favourite tacks are: Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya), Hot Stuff, Boyfriend, What I've Become, Boys & Rulebreaker.

Here's how I rate each song:

1. Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya) 10/10
2. Boys 9/10
3. Rule Breaker 9/10
4. No Time For Tears 6/10
5. Little Miss Obsessive 10/10
6. Ragdoll 7/10
7. Bittersweet World 8/10
8. What I've Become 10/10
9. Hot Stuff 10/10
10. Murder 8/10
11. Never Dream Alone 8/10
12. Invisible 6/10
13. Pieces Of Me 8/10
14. Boyfriend 9/10

This is Ashlee's best album to date. It's fun & funky and a totally new sound for her.

Ive always thought ashlee has produced vary catchy and fresh music. her past two albums where very good with the second not being as good as the first. When i heard "outta my head" i was more than impressed with her new material, modern and upbeat. After hearing her first i heard her second which is "Little miss obsessive" which in my opinion is one of her best to date along with "Outa my head". Once i bought the album i was hooked, The music is so catchy and once you hear it once you want to listen to it again and again. A mixture of modern and 80s beat this album is a must for Ashlee fans or anyone infact. Its a 9/10

I heard everyone talking about that song Get Outta My Head so I looked it up on Youtube and I was blown away!

Similarly to another reviewer I stay away from MTV stars etc, and her past efforts never really impressed me, although I did like her song Boyfriend. Luckily for me that is included on this album.

As for the rest of the material, it is nothing short of excellent! I never thought I would actually be saying this of her, but it is a brilliant effort.

The whole thing is fun and dancey and you can just listen to it over and over. It doesn't take itself too seriously either, I think some songs have an almost 80's electro feel, and it is a similar sort of effort to Gwen Stefani's first solo album L.A.M.B but its not as good as that. Simpson's voice is nothing special, and I feel the catchy songs and sheer fun of the beats make up for what otherwise could have been a poor album.

Great effort from Ashlee, I'm just not sure what she can offer next. If her voice was amazing, I would have given 4 stars. I have no regrets of skipping her earlier work, I would say this album is the one to get from her.
Recommended, but don't expect anything too deep or spectacular.

I usually stay clear of stereotypical MTV artists. Ashlee being one of them. However her latest single (well over here anyway) Outta My head is just so catchy! Plus the 80's electro sound is just irresistable to me. So I got teh album because of that single. The rest of the album is quite different with the occasional song following the the first song. However there are some great pop/rock songs on here as well, a nice nod to her past work, which is also very catchy. Whether I will still be listening to this still in a couple of months time I am unsure, hense the 4 stars, but it is deffinitly worth getting.
