 Good... But not their best

I liked Psychosocial so I bought the album. However there aren't many good tracks on the CD. Of course there are some great songs, like dead psychosocial, dead memories and snuff but the rest of the album isn't that good. If you're looking for a Slipknot album which has so much replay value I recommend either of the other 3.

 Great new musical direction.

I love slipknots new musical direction. It has growling and all of that but what I love the most is that it really shows off Corey Taylors great voice. It's more technical and the lyrical themes are different.Which is great.People say they have gone mainstream.I disagree.I just think they're getting better and better. To be honest. This album is the best so far in my opinion.

 INSANE BUT GREAT

Many thought Slipknot were past their best, I don't. For any Slipknot fan they will see the legends back to their best in this album. Some great head banging tunes, I thoroughly enjoyed this album, love Slipknot and always will

Saw these in concert a few years back at the ozzfest. Though not my usual taste in tunes, have followed them through the years and thought i should own an album. Not as hard as there early stuff, but some well written lyrics and some heavy guitar strumming makes this a realy good album. R.I.P Paul Gray

If I'm honest they aren't as heavy as they used to be, but their music is still absolutely amazing.

People keep saying this is their worst. I don't think so. It may lack some of the earlier brutality but I think a lot more thought has gone into this album. I reckon it's better becuase it is more on the melodic side. The best track, Psychosocial. I have to freak out to it!

 Better And Better

Despite having taken four years for the new album to be released, Slipknot were clearly able to show that they are still one of the best bands going. With a mix of heavy guitar riffs, amazing drummer and extreme vocals, Slipknot once again produced an album that was unlike any other. This amazing album showed to contain somewhat of a mix of Slipknot's previous albums. I would highly recommend this CD to any music lovers that wish to increase their music libraries, or who simply love Slipknot's unique musical skills

 The best yet...

Slipknot have come a long way since their first album which had a very raw but yet programmed feel to it. You can tell with their last offering that they have been left to do what they do best. 'Subliminal Verses' was an outstanding album and one that was always going to be difficult to follow up. I know there are alot of people that will disagree with me when I say that it was their best album as alot of true 'maggots' believe Iowa was Slipknots pinnacle.
That aside they still had to push the boudaries with their next album and with 'All Hope is Gone' they have succeeded. Slipknot fans will know what to expect. Gritty vocals and hard stomach churning riffs that only Slipknot know how to do.
To those who refuse to listen to Slipknot because they wear 'silly' masks... you need to get over yourself. Take yourself to a dark room and have a quiet word. Slipknot is a band made up of nine very talented musicians and if you can see past the theatrical stagewear you wont regret it.
