The Kooks have done it again with this brilliant double disc album. Konk & RAK together prove to be an equal contender for their first album Inside In/Inside Out. Awesome tracks such as: Always where I need to be, Do you wanna, See the sun & Shine on ensure that this album is a must have for any indie rock lover!

I bought KONK the other day from play.com (thanks for the quick delivery btw) and since i received it, i have not stopped listening to it . . . ive heard it about 7or8 times so far and i just cant get enough of it!!!!
I think that the first 5 songs are the best but the rest of the album (including RAK) is amazing!!!
Hope their next album is out 'soon'...

Yet another smasher from the Brighton boys, still having their distinctive style despite the change of bassist. It could be described as a more grown-up version of Inside In Inside Out with the catchy upbeat riffs and distinctive vocal tones, intermixed with some more acoustic based, stripped down songs. Konk is still as fun as Inside In Inside Out but does have more varied textures, resulting in a great listen. The hidden track at the end is a brilliant touch. Performed on an acoustic guitar with an orchestral backround fading in and out with great vocal harmonies.
Rak is very similar to Konk but has some more retro overtones at times which provide an awesome addition to Konk. Rak also has an alternate version of See the Sun which is extremely funky, in an single guitar reggae sort of way. The 2 disc is definitely worth digging slightly deeper into your pocket. Rak has some amazing tracks which compliment Konk really well.
