If you thourght Alligance was good then you will love this! The little known Greek band Firewind have once again shown that they are the best melodic metal band that exhists. With the amazing voice of Apollo and melodic tunes and thrashing from Gus G, this album has everything. Starting with the loud heavy into the fire and stunning songs such as angels forgive me and my loneliness throughout the album keep it strong. Finally finishing with life forclosed that slamms the door in your face leaving you wanting more! This is a must buy for any metal fan and for any person who apritiates skill and raw talent. BUY NOW!!!

I have been a huge Firewind fan since the release of "Alliegence". They have a mix of genres in their sound - ranging from Maiden style classic metal, European Power Metal, and even some Thrash metal in their!

This opus, The Premonition, is perhaps their greatest yet! The best thing about Firewind is Apollo Papathanasio's divine vocals. They are so varied...sometimes I just want to curl up and read and sometimes I want to go out and change the world (somehow)!

Of course, the rest of the band are incredible too! The guitar slick is top quality and the drumming dosn't stick out (this is good, as with many bands, the drumming is too noticeable, and in this genre, it detracts from the value of the performance) creating a very listenable album.

The cover of "Maniac" at first made me laugh, as I can remember my father playing this song to me...over and over! But it is a good adaptation, probably one of the better pop-metal covers!

Overall this is a fantastic album - catchy, lovely, beautiful, fierce and above all, meaningful.

For fans of : Kamelot, Dragonforce, Nightwish
    Best Track : Mercenary Man

This album is not as consistantly high-speed as their last, but the power hasn't left the band at all. They're embracing their melodic power metal more than ever now and it shows in a varied, artistic new tracklist. Tracks like 'Into the Fire', 'Remembered', and 'Circle of Life' are showcases of the drama created by this band whilst the technical wizardry of Gus G keeps the band rooted in the metal pool. Also notewrothy is that this is Firewind's first album to feature the same line-up as its predecessor, I think it can be agreed these guys work great together. The bonus DVD is a really nice little extra. Featuring four live perfomances from the album and an interview with each band member, its a great insight for any fan.
