This CD brings back memories of the good old days, when the charts were full of proper music!!! Please someone tell me why dont they make tunes like this any more!!! I'm sick of going out and having to put up with the rubbish they call 'funky house' in every club! BRING BACK THE TRANCE NATION!!!!!

The trouble is with dance music now and lets be honest alot of the stuff released in the decade of 2000 onwards has been in a steady decline. I was tempted to purchase this CD and have loved some of Dave pearce's compilations but already have 4 of his and loads more compilations every song on here you will find amongst other compilations released years ago for me the best dance was the 90's and they are the best ones to buy if you can get hold of them. Dance music has relied too much on recycling the old songs because to be frank the new stuff is crap and they are desperate so they insert some old classics to boost the sales.

If oyu want my opinion buy some classic mixes from just before the millenium around 98 or 99 by ministry of sound the millenium edition.

Yes, these tunes have appeared on a multitude of albums time and again in recent years and there is a good reason for that, they are timeless classics! While some may rue this because they already have the tunes elsewhere the success of these CD's are down to one sad fact - Dance music today has lost it's sparkle and people yearn for the good old days when the whole experience was euphoric. Today's dance music is wishy washy, bad 80's style sampled nonsense dominates and poor quality vocals complete the mess rather than the mix! It is getting boring. Have the great DJ's lost their touch? I mean the good man Pearce has even lost his Sunday night slot on Radio1. Things will never be the same. Anyone who had forgotten about this era in dance would really appreciate this compilation, so if you don't have these tunes elsewhere buy this now and enjoy it loud in the garden in the summer days to come.

They keep bringing out the classics on new cds its just one big scam but if you have never heard them buy this as they are class tunes......

This should be called Trance Anthems 1999, as the tracks are all from the old days of Gatecrasher and the original Trance Nations. The mix is great but if you are looking for Trance Anthems '2008', do yourself a favor and check out the likes of Anjuna Beats and Armin etc.. if you've been away from trance for 10 years, you're in for a treat.

I was told buy a friend to buy it and did and wow what a great buy. Class tunes with great mixing. Would definatly recommend it to anybody.

This mix is absolutely awesome!! The tracks are all pretty much first class and the mixing is fantastic. You just want to keep listening to it. I would recommend everyone to buy it.....now!! Happy listening.

There have been alot of dance music compilations over the past few years all with the same songs on, but if you want a definitive collection of some Trance classics get this album, end of!
