Just to sit down and listen to a pure album like this is heaven, the music is predominately basic, but he atmosphere is greatly enhanced by a sense of mystery, its not New age,or Nu folk or whatever the latest genre is,this is just music you should try and listen to and allow into your life, listen to the firsty track"Flume" and you won't regret it.
The music is slow and luxurious, sometimes with backing, sometimes solo, magnificent harmonies, lovely guitar soundscapes that make you think of big open spaces, enjoy this album.

I had/have no idea who this guy was or any of his background and bought the album for no reason (I like too buy unknown albums). It's fantastic - track 3, skinny love, is such an awsome song, its to good if anything and - trying not to sound over the top - blew my mind when I first heard it. There's nothing new in this album but theres something special there.
Fantastic!

Cooped up in a hut in an isolated cabin in the wisconsin mountains for several months, Bon Iver produced these beautiful songs. Both gut wrenching and uplifting in equal amounts. Suits either mood or if you just need something to relax you!! Already excited about what he will do next!! Skinny Love, Flume, Blindsided and Team are my favourites, but everything else is at the same amazing level of quality! Loves it!

From the opening lines 'I am my mothers only one, it's enough. I wear my garment so it shows, now you know' to the last ' This is not the sound of a new man or crispy realization, it's the sound of the unlocking and the lift away, your love will be safe with me.' You can almost contemplate the melancholy Justin Vernon has experienced to produce such a heart-wrenchingly beautiful and touching record, but not quiet. Whoever Emma is, and exactly when forever ago was, it clearly was like so many relationships a tough experience, with the purest beauty resultant. Every song reveals tiny insights into the past but not enough to make a clear enough picture. The album has been compared to certain artists and other records but I truly believe this man is one of a kind. My album of the summer. Already.
Awesome

I head Skinny Lover on Radio 1 on the 7th May... was such a great song. the sun was out.... its the type of song you can just lie in a park listening it and not have a care in the world. if the rest of the album is like this... its going to be good.
