classic rock called it the best since hysteria. and that's what it is. the best thing about the album is that there are no weak tracks. C'mon is a great tune. Love is probably more Queen than anything on the forthcoming QPR record. Tomorrow and Bad Actress are great rockers. the list goes on
I thought Def Leppard had lost it after "X" - but this, I'm happy to say, proves me wrong. BUY IT!
OH YEAH!

I was almost put off by another review refering to this being a continuation of the 'X' album. thankfully, the strength of the 'Nine Lives' single' convinced me to buy.
this is nothing like 'X', so if you, like me, found that album just a bit to lightwieght, then you'll be more than happy with this.
It is no 'Hysteria' either, most reminiscent of the under-rated 'Slang' and all the better for it.big ballad 'Love' has harmonies reminiscent of Queen's 'Jealousy' .
there's then moments of almost Sweet like glam, the aforementioned 'Slang' comparisons, and most importantly, lots of noisy guitar., and a lack of mellowness.
