3 What another Best of/compilation??jamiecfc1 | 28/04/2008 | See all jamiecfc1's reviews (2)Right let's get one thing straight - there is no problem with the music that's on this album, every track is worthy of your attention and can rightly be called a "classic". The problem I have is that EMI, now they've lost most of their major artists, seem to see Maiden as a cash cow to milk until it bleeds! I have, frankly, lost count of how many compilation albums Maiden have now put out and I'm pretty sure a lot of fans, like me, have every single track on this album at least once, digitally remastered or not - I think I'm up to 9 versions of "Iron Maiden" now. Yes the 80's were Maiden's golden years and Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind, Killers.. etc are/were by far their best albums, so if you really want the best of the 80's Maiden go buy the individual albums instead! In summary - 5 stars for the music, 1 star for the cash in!!!
