  Great Good Forgettable....

Disc 1 really is good, disc 2 pretty much the same, and very chilled.....

The big fail happens when you switch to disc 3 - utterly forgettable tracks with the exception of the usual classic roger sanchez number. The mixing is pretty shabby too to be fair - probably software mixed.... My advice would be: Rip the lot to one folder and turn random on - you wont notice any difference

The CD is called "chilled" and is designed as a chillout/easy listening/ambient noise cd... not a raving anthems cd as TokerThree was hoping for - so I wouldnt even consider his review...
For what it is its great, if you are after hard basslines and epic vocals its not for you. Its the sort of thing you could play in the background while you work or something :)

Don't knock, 'til you've tried it

A decent compilation (Chilled II surpasses it by far though), there are some very good tunes on this CD, but it lacks consistency. Worth the money though

If u like me think this was gonna be anthems then u are horribly mistaken. Possibly the worst cd i have ever bought. I only like 2 songs out of 60 tracks and those i already had anyway. Waist of money, ministry of sound taking us for mugs

  What a waste of money

Only track I enjoyed was Radiohead the rest sounded like background music in a motel. My advice spend your money elsewhere.

It WAS bought for my dad!

It was an intended present for my dads birthday however it has somehow got its way into my car and i constantly listen to it. In my opinion not being a big fan of this type of music but i really enjoy this album. Almost every song has me tapping my foot along with it or having me hide my poor singing from the nearby cars in the morning traffic. For the price it is now it is definitely worth getting!

  Worst production...ever

The track list is OK not great. I didn't recognise some of them so hoped to find some new gems, but nothing. However, that I could live with but the production is terrible. Sounds like the Ministry Of Sound played through a railway PA system.

  Good Songs, Poor Mix

Great selection of songs on here, nice to see the likes of Molokos, Fun For Me and Smoke citys, Underwater Love. One niggle though is that the mixing is appalling. Why join the tracks and make zero effort mixing them?

How many more best of compilations are we going to see from ministry of sound. I have 2 chilled albums now and all they have done is move tracks from them added a few older dance songs and sold it again. The first cd i good but after that they struggle to find the quality and i got bored after disc 2.

I was pleased to see The Orb on there and Leftfield those 2 songs i have never seen on a compilation and takes me back to my school days that was when dance music was developing in the early 90's. The Back to the old skool mixes were good but they should do an Early 90's Chillout on it's own with Papua New Guinea added. Im sorry to say but Dance is in a steady decline and when they add new stuff to the old stuff it dosn't mix too well. Please redo a chillout for the 90's only. That was when Dance was at it's peak.
