5 Powerpop's future lies here.Chrishaydon63 | 02/05/2008 | See all Chrishaydon63's reviews (97)I've followed 'Kids In Glass Houses' since they first formed about 3 years ago and have been a giant fan since. I was delighted to hear that they finally signed a record deal about 6 months ago with none other than Roadrunner Records, the greatest metal label out there.'Smart Casual' is a different turning point for the band, leaving there original Screamo lyrics at bay and focusing on keeping in tact with their fellow powerpop rivals such as 'Cute Is What We Aim For' and 'You Me At Six'.I seen the band live 3 times and met them all and they are great guys who deserve to do well, and trust me, they will.'SC' features some of the orginal tracks from their EP,'E-Pocalypse' that have been re-recored, such as 'Easy Tiger', 'Raise Hell' and 'Me Me Me' (now with a new title, 'Give Me What I Want'). 'SC' also features many new tracks including 'Saturday', 'Girls' and 'Church Tongue' which are all bursting with catchy hooks and rhythm guitars.KIGH are a fantastic band with huge potential and I'm certain that this debut will go through the roof. This album has the opportunity to be the next 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not'.If you think that 'The Police', 'The Beatles' and 'Blur' sound like a good combination, this is the band for you.
