The album 'The Killers' will have wished they'd made...

Every song on this album is powerful and commanding and reminiscent of Bruce Springsteen. This album pretty much defines the genre originally set up by Springsteen, with catchy hooks and meaningful lyrics aplenty. The musicianship is so genuine and brilliant that there's not much you can really fault them for, except for the fact the songs seem to diffuse into one another due to their similarity, but that merely shows how cohesive the album is as a whole.

A new sound from New Jersey!

I first heard of this group watching Glastonbury on tv. As a big Bruce Sringsteen fan, it made me sit up and take note when I saw the the man join Gaslight Anthem on stage for "59 sounds". High praise indeed and I was not disappointed with the album. I definitely agree with the "Bruce Springsteen meets The Cure" description. Throw in a bit of "The Killers" and you have a fantastic sound but ironically a unique one! Songwriting that is clever and grabs your attention, great guitar play and anthemic sounds. If you only buy one "Festival" album this year make it this one. New Jersey's finest backed this group. You won't be disappointed!

 Kick ass album

Many a person could express better in words then me how good this album is. It penetrates deep inside you until you find that you've spent the entire morning humming "The 59 Sound" or tapping your pen in memory of "Old White Lincoln". This album will not disappoint you, you will love it, you will sing a long to it, you will tell all your mates about it, you will exclaim to them that "this is the next big great band", you will play it in the morning when you first get up, it will sit on you top of your CD player so that it's in easy reach for playing. In short, best album i've heard in the past 5 years, if not longer

 Instant classic

"The '59 Sound" is an amazing second album that cemented the band on the global music scene. A definate must have album for all cd collections. This album changed the way I listen to and write music. Instant classic!
