This is probably offsprings best album since smash. A great album that is consistent (unlike one of the previous albums that had a few good tracks, one or two great tracks and 2 or 3 crap tracks).
If you're an offspring fan (or like this kind of music) then definitley buy this, you wont be dissapointed.
Fantastic

This album is brilliant, always been a big fan of Offspring, and i only liked a handful of tracks off their last album Splinter before the Greatest Hits, but i think this album has to be one of their best. I wouldnt say it was their best album, but i do love almost every track on this CD...... fantastic!!!
THIS ROCKS!!!

i love this cd i am mostly a classic rock fan but the offspring were the band that made me get into rock and punk if you ask me i think they are legends going so long and still so good, new bands should take a leaf outta there book they would go far if they did.
i love all the new tunes this cd will never go away!
Damn offspring! I cant stop listening!

I cant say a bad thing about Offspring and i dont think anyone can really, they are a truely glorious band and this newest addition to there collection is absolutley brilliant! Ive had it since day of release and have not had a day so far where I havent listened to it! For all those who lost faith in Offspring after Splinter then rejoice for the Offspring are back with a bang!!!

I had doubts about the direction offspring were heading in after the release of splinter which was poor by their standards. However i can honestly say that Rise and Fall is on par with their album smash. good diversity of tracks on the album, with a few new sounds but after a couple of listens, there doesnt seem to be a bad track. Well worth the 5 year wait.
A solid album.... Mostly.

Good, solid album from The Offspring, nice to hear their new material. If you're a fan of this genre or of Offspring themselves, it certainly is a must.
However! You can feel there is a slightly stronger influence on this album from bands such as Green Day, as some of the songs hit under Pop-Punk.
Despite this, its still a cracking album, and a one that you've got to add to your collection.
Worth the wait

Wow, what a fantastic album. This energetic return blows Splinter to pieces. It is so much closer to the sounds of Smash and Ixnay that we all love. There is also some new sounds thrown in too which are also fantastic and diverse! Classic Offspring album.
Back on Form!!!!

The offspring are back to making great music. they have not released an album that i dislike yet but this one has defonatly been worth the wait.
in my oppinion half-turism and your gonna go far kid are the best 2 songs on this album and hammerhead is great and its different to other songs that they have released. if you like the offsprings music in the past ( i mean past past, smash past) then theres no way you cannot like this album.
Get youself a copy!!!!
Fantastic Return To Form!

This is a fantastic return to form! Splinter was good, but this is right back up there with Ixnay and maybe even Smash. There seems to be quite a lot of influence here from other bands. 'Trust In You' is a call back to The Offspring of old and 'You're Gonna Go Far, Kid' is reminiscent of Fall Out Boy - particularly 'Dance, Dance'. Believe it or not, 'A Lot Like Me' sounds a lot like Coldplay - in fact, try to imagine Chris Martin's vocals when you're listening to Dexter - I think it could work. Finally, the title track, 'Rise And Fall' sounds so much like 'American Idiot', I'm surprised there wasn't a lawsuit involved! Stand out tracks are definately 'Half-Truism', 'You're Gonna Go Far, Kid', 'Stuff Is Messed Up' (which makes you wonder if they originally submitted a different title for the song, but were shouted down by industry bods) and 'Let's Hear It For Rock Bottom'.
Just Awesome!

The First track alone 'Half Truism' sets the tone for the whole album.....that tone being utter brilliance. This is album is what you would expect from the Offspring and more, utter crowd pleasers. For anyone who saw them headline this years Download will surely agree Half Truism was stunning.
From start to finish thisalbum is just awesome, and hopefully an indication that Offspring have got a lot more to offer in the future.
