This is quite an early show with Bowie in full swing as Ziggy.
It's poorly mixed and recorded but we can forgive it that as really this is just a polished up bootleg.
It's the performance and its place in rock history that matters and what a performance!
Simple,stripped-down, hard edged, straight rock to camera performances at a furious pace and oh so tight.
This has 'live' stamped all over it and it is all the more entertaining for that!
For Bowie fans it's essential, and for the others, check out the soon-to-be-discarded acoustic interlude, something Bowie didn't re-visit until the mid nineties.
For some reason this version is a couple of minutes shorter than when it enjoyed its previous limited release and some of Bowie's rather strange other-worldly patter has been edited away. But no matter.
Buy it and play it at maximum volume.
One of the Top 5 Greatest Live Recordings ever!

This is pure Bowie. Recorded a few months before the 'Ziggy' farewell gig, it captures a band smoking hot and at its peak.
From the blistering opener Hang on to Yourself, through to the haunting Rock N Roll Suicide, this album is screaming to be played loud.
Mick Ronson and his trusty Les Paul prove why his partnership with Bowie was one of the best double acts in rock and roll history and his playing is simply outstanding. For proof listen to the incredible guitar runs on Moonage Daydream and The Width of a Circle.
