The Mighty Priest Have Aged Badly

I am a huge fan of Priest and I think the previous album is awsome, but this one unfortunalely is weak and uninspired. Most of the tracks have no reason of being in the album and are exremely boring. Don't get fooled by the tremendous title track and the very good "visions" that leaked a month ago. There is no other track to match them. The lyrics are a laughing matter and the overall sound is filled with keyboards and fake drums. If you insist on buying, buy the simple version as the deluxe edition offers nothing more than a plain stupid booklet with amateur artwork.

 What a surprise!

I left Judas Priest behind a long time ago. I loved all the early stuff, Sad Wings of Destiny, Sin After Sin, right up to Killing Machine and then they Lost me...Dire tunes like Breaking the Law lost me completely!
So when I read a few reviews of this I thought "should I give them another go?" Well I did and boy am I glad about it. This album is the sort of thing they should have done years ago. Well structured, interesting and Mr Halford's vocals are exactly what they should be, in a league that Ronnie James Dio would be proud of. From the first play I realised that "this is QUALITY" As prog metal goes it's as good as anything Porcupine Tree or Dream Theatre have done, if not better, because you know that somewhere along the line those two guitars are gonna do that "Judas Priest thing" that used to set them apart. Somebody else wrote that this is a classic rock album, but people won't recognise it until it gets seen in context with other albums of it's time - I think they are right.
This album is a pleasure to listen to..MORE PLEASE, Mr Halford and co.

 superb concept album

I have been a Priest fan since the beginning and I am truly enthralled by this piece . I t just gets better and better the more times you hear it. Rob Halford is better than ever and his voice and range remain forever ausome. Glenn and KK are at their best and Iif they take this album on tour then I for one will most definitely be there.

this is by far the best metal album ive listened to in many years,,100 minutes over 2 cds of amazing heavy metal, its a concept album with not just drums and guitars but also keyboards, synths and classical strings,,,buy this album and trust me,you will be blown away,,,,,,,,they took some time recording this and it shows, because its not a rushed album like many metal albums lately,,,,,
