Top 100 Music Reviewer

After Dust was realeased about 2 months ago i have been eagerly anticpating royworld's debut album, and it was well worth the wait.

The have been many piano led indie bands in the past and of recent (keane, the fray, air traffic) but royworld are now one of the best. There debut consists of catchy lyrics, some orchestral areas and great chiming piano led tracks such as dust, elasticity, back of mind and science. There are some brilliant acoustic guitar led tracks (simliar to the coldplay) like man in machine.

Overall this is a great debut album which delivers and follows the same remiedy as dust. If you liked dust you will love this, it doesnt disappoint.

The main reason i decided to buy this album was due to the fact that they are playing Guilfest. So I youtubed them and was pleased with what i heard. So i pre-ordered the album and what can i say? really really good album. if i could use one word to describe the album it would be 'consistent'. Man In the Machine, Back of My Mind and Tin Man are probably the top 3 on the album.
They have been compared to Keane because they share the same producer but the main difference is that royworld aren't awful.

This year saw the release of the debut album by Royworld and excellent stuff it is too!!
Normally I listen to debut albums with an air of caution, knowing full well that it is often the work of a band that have yet to reach their full potential.
However, while Royworld have yet to explore the finer points of their detail, there is definitely enough going here to reassure the listener that there is more to come in the future.

Good stuff (4/5)

This group of four lads are, in my humble opinion, the next big thing. This summer, expect to hear a lot more of Royworld. Like nothing I have heard before. I assure you, you will not be disappointed with this album.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Dramatic and Passionate indie pop: I really like this

Injected with passion and drama, these tunes really get to you. They remind me of the power behind Killers or Meatloaf but theyre pretty poppy. I like the kind of song you can dance to or listen to in your room quietly and songs like "Elasticity" and "Man in the Machine" hit that target right on. I like the Dust lyrics "how many times can I tell you I love you". Dust is a great song!!!! Recommended for fans of pop, indie, rock - me likes Royworld :)

Cant wait to see them live in london next monday (19 may)!!

Can I just say, I admit that I haven't heard this album BUT I have heard man in the machine, elasticity and the new single Dust (buy it, buy it!) and seen them live twice. Also met them :P They have a great set and this album will be incredible if those songs are anything to go buy so you heard it from me first! Actually prob radio 1 but you know what I mean!

Went to see this band in Norwich last night, and was blown away. Thier sound is good and you cant help but hear their 80's influences, that is not a bad thing, it just makes them very listenable and dare I say it Radio friendly! This album will be one you discover, and play over and over again, and feel it could be the signature album for my summer! Give it a go I dont think you'll regret it.
