I liked the relaxed sound of the album. Agree with one of the previous reviews re playing it on a wet day. Has a summer vibe to it.

I've only given this cd 2 stars cause there are only 2 songs without Laura Marling. Its in a way a good cd but Laura just ruins it. It sounds like she's trying to force her way into the song like a drunken bum forcing his way into a really good party.

I bought this album after seeing them on the highlights of the Cambridge folk festival, they had a great performance. And whilst this album has had great hype, it never really lives up to it. There are a few forgettable tracks and the leader singers voice starts to grate a little after a while, but still it's an good album, not one that's going to be on heavy rotation, but a one wet and windy day i may put it on and it will cheer me up a little.

Top 100 Music Reviewer

More jingley jangley pop, but this time with some wry lyrics thrown into the mix that show a modicum of intelligence. It could have been the feel good hit of the summer if it had surfaced a few months ago, but that's no reason not to give it a spin now.
It definitely chases away the dark clouds on a rainy august afternoon. File under accomplished debut from a band that could be going places.
Nice one.

I've seen NATW twice now and both times they were incredible (although without Laura). Judging by their performances and the few songs I've heard on the radio/ myspace this album is gonna be pretty incredible and the band will be propelled into the mainstream. You'd be a fool not to get this.
