I bought "Sience and faith" first, because of it's good reviews and loved it! So i decided to try out their first album, since "breakeven" is still my nr 1 favourite song. I love the feel of the music, and the mood that the script are experts on. This album is a little more low key and relaxed then the second one, but absolutely a great addition to any music collection and a fantastic first album.

Very fresh lyrically, vocally and as a whole. Comparision to U2 may look inevitable but bet these lads are going to be placed in a league of their own. Undoubtedly one of the decent albums of recent times.

The Script are described as a soft rock band and originate from Ireland. The band released this self-entitled debut album in August 2008 and their music has featured in several popular TV programmes. I can only agree with many of the positive reviews, but do agree that their songs do sound very similar after hearing them several times. Their style and sound remind me very much of the talented singer and songwriter Daniel Bedingfield.

from Ireland, we know U2 but these guys are proving that this island has more to offer. Although, this is a first album, it looks like it's a third or fourth album. Love the fact that they don't appear on the cover, wich makes us open the cd and look for what's inside... and that's MUSIC. These should be the artists of the future: people that came from below and love what they do - otherwise, how would they do such music. their second album it's also Awsome. Three boys from Ireland can go a long way. Just keep your head straight. Can't wait for you in Portugal next year.

  Pretty Good

I had heard a few songs of The Script in the past and didn't take much notice of them, I just thought their songs were 'ok' but after purchasing the album I was very pleased with it. Some reviewers have claimed that each song sounds similiar, and in a way I can see why they would say that, but personally I think each and every song has it's own style and I think it was a decent debut album.

This is certainly worth a buy people.

  BIG FAN BUT.............

a debut album has to have a big impact and this album has done that perfectly. however the album's song's all sound very similar. We Cry, anybody there and im yours are the only songs that dont have a similar sound to the man who cant be moved. however despite that the album is very good and a would reccomend it. the best song on the album is breakeven.

I don't normally listen to this kind of music as I'm into heavy metal but I consider this album to be my 'guilty pleasure'!! I love all the songs and only had to play it twice in row to familiarize myself with them. The lyrics are well written and there are some catchy tunes. what a beautiful voice he has....a cross between Stevie Wonder and Sting.

Album is absolutely fantastic, the songs are so good and are great to listen to on repeat in the car! Fell in love with this band when I watched the support Take That in June and can't wait to get the new album! Fave track - Breakeven by miles, such a feel good summery song and reminds me of good times in the sunshine with friends :)
