Fistful of riffs and a mouthful of rhymes

My favourite album of all-time. Every track is brilliant, from the rip-roaring opener Mercury (best album opener ever?) to the huge grooves of the instrumental closing track WYSIWYG. Every note played is sheer perfection. The music, the lyrics (nobody writes or sings like Neil Fallon) and the production are all of the highest calibre. If you don't appreciate this album after listening to it, you might as well give up listening to rock music.

 Must Buy!

THE best album I have ever heard - anyone with a slight interest in rock music of any kind should own it. It's funkier and more accessible than older clutch stuff but don't let that put you off if you want some serious agressive rock n roll! Each track is extremely catchy with simple but awesome riffs - I can listen to this album on repeat wihtout getting bored! Best tracks: Profits of Doom; The Mob Goes Wild; Cypress Grove and Spleen Merchant.

One of the best hard rock albums ever

Top 100 Books Reviewer

Clutch turn the volume way up for this 5 star effort. From the opening Mercury to La Curandera every song is top notch stuff. Guitars and vocals are all heavier than before, with exception to The Regulator and Ghost. I would say this album is verging on metal rather than the blues/rock style Clutch usually do. Definitely an essential for all Clutch fans, and highly recommended for newcomers to this great band.
