It is unfortunate that the rest of the songs on the CD aren't up to the standard of 'Helicopter' or 'Banquet'. These songs are excellent, but the other songs on it are not great and do seem to drift into eachother. Not bad but certainly not great.

This is just a great album. Seriously, I couldn't get Helicopter out of my head for over a week! One of my favorite albums that's made up of both calming tracks for just relaxing and other tracks that I can't keep myself from dancing to.

Silent Alarm is a truly brilliant album, quite possibly the best I own.

The first four tracks of the album are sheer genius, and set the bar especially high (with 'Helicopter' and 'Banquet' featuring instantly recogisable guitar riffs and superb rhthym.)

It is difficult to compare this album to Weekend in the City, as the two are so different; but for an introduction into indie/alternative music, Silent Alarm cannot be beaten.

A must for any music fan's collection.
