- This is the third album from former pro-surfer Jack Johnson and sees him joined once again by Beastie Boys producer Mario Caldato Jr. Sticking to the acoustic mix of blues, rock, and hip hop that's graced his previous work, 'In Between Days' sees Johnson once again being likened to Ben Harper, G. Love & The Special Sauce, and Dave Matthews.

Jack Johnson is a great artist and in my opinion this is his best album so far. There are some brilliant songs such as "Better Together", "Do You Remember", "Banana Pancakes", "Good People" and "Staple It Together." The rest of the songs are good also, as part of easy listening.
hellooo jack johnson part III

good stuff, good songs, i'm a fan, sure. and i would love to see him perform live but he doesn't seem to know where belgium is!
but if you know his former albums you'll miss something: the sparkle is not as sparkling anymore. maybe because the undertone of this album is more melancholic? and the other ones had a little more of that very nice naivity in it, accompanied by a very simple riff or melody, that thing that makes you say: yes, it's like that. you feel it too? and then you simply continue to sing along...
Beautiful...

I first heard "Better Together" when I was on hot, sunny holiday driving to the beach, and knew I just had to get the album. It's great for chilling out and relaxing to, even if its a cold and frosty day. Its easy listening to and certainly gets you singing along to it. The thing that makes this album truly stand out is the amazing vocals and acoustics. At this price it's a definite buy!
