Best album I've bought in ages.

There's been so many female singer songwriters in the last few years, but she's by far one of the decent ones. With well crafted pop tunes giving a nostalgic feel good time, it's like all your favourite 80's soundtracks but without the cheese and with a lot more credibility.

It's been so long since I've actually enjoyed listening to an album the whole way through without skipping. Buy it on CD as it's an album worth owning in your collection, with pretty cool artwork.

The NME wrote that she's the 'Cyndi Lauper of the American Apparel age' which I thought was spot on.
Well worth the money.

  Awesome Debut Album!

As Electro Pop is getting very big with the likes of La Roux and Little Boots, you ask is Ladyhawke as good as them? Well she is, this album is really great, its got a more alternative sound compared to the others, instead of the all out keyboard and synths, LH has a more guitary sound. This album has got loads of great songs like Magic, Love Dont Live Here, Dusk Til Dawn, Back of the Van, Professional Suicide, and of course her most famous two, Paris is Burning and My Delirium. Looking as this is her debut i cant wait for her next album which might be even better.

  Terriffic Album a must buy

I bought this album on the strength of the single my delirium which is just brilliant. There is always a chance an album can disappoint after a successful single but this does not disappoint at all in fact it is a fantastic album. There isn`t a bad track it is funky up tempo very 80`s electro.just buy it and see for yourself.

  Refreshing sound.....

I saw her at the Island 50 gig with Tom Tom Club and Keane and she was by far the best of the 3....Bought the album on the back of it and I shouldn't really like it (it's much lighter/popier than my usual taste!) but I can't stop listening to it....What with her and Flight of the Conchords there's some good stuff coming out of NZ......I think a guest appearance is in order!

a fantastic album, the best so far of 2009

This album is fanstastic and I particularly love "From dusk til dawn" and "My delerium" although all the tracks are fab. A very worthwhile addition to your cd collection, and if you love 80's stuff, you'll love this!

Best CD I've bought in a while!

I can't even begin to describe how "on the fence" i was when i bought this album. It really was on a whim after hearing a snippet of one of the songs on a tv advert. Fortunately, i love every single track; something that i hardly ever do! Reminds me very much of a ingeniously mixed girls aloud, goldfrapp and the good parts of lady gaga. Completely worth every penny at full price, so make the most of this wonderful offer. Thanks play.com!

I love love LOVE this album. Each and every song has me singing along, Back of the Van reminds me of The Pretenders, my favourite track is Love Don't Live Here, but I adore all of the songs, the final track is quite haunting as well, a very up beat album. Buy it!!
