I bought this off the strength of the single Kiss of Life, glad I did, such a fantastic album full of energentic dancey tunes, with plenty of variety to it. Best album of 2008 for me.

Unforutuneatly it doesn't have the bonus track on it (not sure if you can get the version now)

This has got to be the best album i have purchased so far this year, beating the likes of the new green day album and ladyhawke and white lies debuts. I love all the songs they are just so catchy and original - this is a must buy for anyone who likes MGMT, Empire of the Sun - that style of music. Stand out tracks are;
White Diamonds
Paris
Jump In The Pool
Skeleton Boy
Photobooth

 Electro quality gold

a new sound building off the likes of the klaxons emergence but with a different sound, this album is outstanding, every time I listen to it I have a new song I have to play over and over, I'm going to see them live for a second time in a few days

Buy this album! see them before they really take off!

 Brilliant.

Having already bought this album on itunes when it was first released i had been eagerly watching their progress since. I'm glad they are getting lots of air play because this is easily one of the better albums i heard throughout last year.

Stand out track in my opinion: Strobe.

 Awesome

I've liked this band since i first heard their music. The album is as great as I anticipated, with indie-dance pop tunes throughout! Just got back from a gig they did last night as part of the NME awards tour, and they are as great live as they are in the album. Definately a band to keep an eye on!

Fresh, cool and really really good! lol

One of the top albums of 08
Its original Funky-synth-Indie that's totally addictive.
I dont really like to compare them to other bands, but I suppose theyre in the genre family of Foals... but better.
Get it now :D

By a neck, my Album of the year so far. Brilliant fusion of electro, funk, dance, indie- driven by amazing percussion, synth, guitar & vocals. Each of the ten tracks brings out another side to this band, from the euphoric opener of 'JITP' to the toe-tapping rhythm of Photobooth and the funky nonsense of On Board. The standout tracks on this album (like Skeleton Boy, paris & Lovesick) will haunt your head long after you turn off your ipod.
Go to their Myspace, check out their tunes and buy the damn thing.

 Set me on fire!

2008 is definitely the year of indie electro. With the success of the Klaxons last year bringing dance/rock fusion firmly into the public conciousness there's been a stream of crossover bands riding their sparkly, multi-coloured coat-tails. If there's any justice in the world then Friendly Fires will one day be hailed as heroes of this burgeoning scene.
There's a diverse range of influences here: house, trance, soul, funk, all stirred up and spread on a good slice of solid beats, topped of with angular guitar riffs and Ed Macfarlane's dreamy vocals.
Friendly Fires have take a bold decision to leave their heavy post-hardcore origins behind and it is something we should all be very grateful for. They have crafted themselves a fantastic new sound somewhere between the City Rockers label's brand of futurist house and the Music's beat driven math-rock. Anyone who's a fan of Hot Chip, Neon Neon, MGMT or Foals will love this record.
