It's Blitz

It's been 3 years since show your bones and finally the yyys come back with the new album and new sound of It's Blitz! The 10 track album is superb! Having already listened to it before its release I am very impressed. The first single from the album which is titled "Zero" is a fresh new dance sound that is nothing like previous yyys material. "Heads Will Roll", "Soft Shock", "Hysteric" and "Dull Life" Will get your feet moving and your heart racing. But if your after a nice slow song bursting with emotion then "Runaway" is perfect for you. Its soft, slow and emotional which I think could easily give "Maps" a run for its money.
If your already a fan of YYYs then you will love this album but be warned as this album is expected to be BIG!!!

I'v never really been a huge fan ofg the yeah yeah yeahs, I always found it quite difficult to keep interest in their first two albums, but heard zero and thought it was decent so bought the album. This is ny far the most beautiful album I have listened to since the latest sigur ros and from 3 hearings so far I am longing for more. There isnt a bad song on it; if anything I'd say zero is my least favourite.

Little Shadow just ends the album on the perfect note. And Dull Life and Heads Will Roll are electric songs.

I can't sleep due to wanting to listen to this album. And I'm a teenager. I think that goes some way to showing how good it is.

Amazing album, I'd be hard pushed to name one which I have liked after a few listens as much as this.

Well my God the Yeah's are back. I was a big fan of their first album, Fever to Tell which was New York punk with an electro egde that really gave it a sound of it's own. Then with the fairly shabby follow up Show your Bones I was starting to worry that the band were going the way of most and buckling under the various pressures of creating follow up material but 'It's Blitz' has destroyed all doubts I had with the Yeahs. It really is incredible! The first single from the album Zero sticks to the same recipe of previous singles but with a much more epic feel to it. Heads Will Roll is a dance track to rival The Prodigy and the sinister disco track Dragon Queen is simply superb. These are all great moments but the aspect of the album that stands out for me compared to previous Yeah's albums is the beauty of it. Soft Shock, Skeletons, Runaway, Little Shadow and my favourite Hysteric are all beautifully epic tracks that Karen O's voice really compliments.

I'm not one to get drunk on hype and rush to sing the praises of any new album that comes out like a lot of the reviews you read on here so when I say this is a classic album, I mean it. Effortless Indie/ Pop as it should be done. Well done Yeah Yeah Yeah's

What can I say about this album? It's Blitz! A brilliant transition for the YYY's which shows off an edgy, fresh electro dance sound. The album really is an ear pleaser from start to finish. They have managed to appeal to a wider audience without selling out. Zero is a killer tune, whereas other instant masterpieces are: Heads Will Roll, Hysteric & Runaway. Everyone is talking about the album and once you get your copy you'll see why! Head's will roll....
