You certainly get your money's worth here; and assuming you already know the singles, then you're not going to be disappointed. However, the Stereophonics are hardly known for their variety and if they're not ripping off The Waterboys (of all people) they're ripping off themselves (Bartender & Thief and Vegas Two Times are the same song). The two new tracks are instantly forgettable, but if you don't already own a Sterephonics album then this is well worth getting.

 Just Quality

20 Great tracks from a great band who have repeatedly thrown out quality tracks over the years. To see them all on one album is great, for anyone who slightly likes this band then this would be a great gift for them for Christmas as it must be a safe bet. Every song is one that will bring back a memory and will have you nudging someone saying, "I've not heard this in ages" or "remember this one" Some people might not know a couple of the tracks on there, such as Traffic, well, if you have not heard this one before, get ready to be playing it over and over again as this is truly a great song and should be re-released for the release of the album. From time to time a greatest hits comes out where you can say every song on there is a good one, I mean, who can call a greatest hits a classic album, well you can with this one.

 A honest greatest hits

Over the last 10 years, 6 studio albums and now a greatest hits. A good timing aswell! This album is for peeps who are not die hard stereophonics fans, but have heard of stereophonics on the radio, such as (1) Dakota (2) Have a Nice Day (3) Mr Writer (4) Local Boy in A Photograph, and thought 'yeah i like some stereophonics songs, but want to hear more' or hear them again.

I cannot stress enough that this band has so much more to offer. Have a listen to the greatest hits. If you like. Then buy Word Gets Around. Below are their five previous ablums, rated best to least best.

1. Word Gets Around (Debut)
2. Performance and Cocktails (2nd released ablum)
3. Sex, Violence, Language, Other (5th released ablum)
4. Just Enought Education to Perform (3rd released ablum)
5. You gotta go there to come back (4th released ablum)
6. Pull the Pin (6th released album)

 Sheer Excellence

The best album you are ever likely to listen to, every track is sheer class, it's a wonder i've not worn the disc out as it's never off.
I went to see them live and again they are the best band i've ever heard live, just truly outstanding.
It's a must buy.

This is an exhilarating ride the through some of the 'phonics best moments. A truly outstanding band that are excellent live. I had the opportunity to see them in a small working men's club in 1997 near their hometown before they had become the phenomenal act they are today, and it was obvious they were destined for great things. From humble beginnings now they fill stadiums and rightly so. This is worth buying even if you own all the albums as it's a reminder of how truly great the stereophonics really are.
