CD
- 'Don't Believe The Truth' is the sixth studio album by 60's influenced stadium rock giants Oasis. Taking their base influences of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, yet again Oasis have crafted an album that is packed with swagger and style, sounding classic without sounding dated. Includes the single 'Lyla'.

...No other way to describe it in my opinion, I love it!
'Turn Up The Sun' is a fantastic opening song for the album, a real rocker with a fantastic intro and outro. 'The Importance of Being Idle' is a brilliant song, probably one of there best ever.
Each member of the band has had a turn on the song writing and I think it's fair to say nobody has let themselves or the band down.
The album closes with a nice number (Let There Be Love) penned by Noel but has both Liam & Noel on the lead vocals.
Critics described this album as "a return to form for Oasis".
They weren't wrong.
The albums a must buy. *****
This album is almost Oasis back to their best, but not quite. You can't expect another Definitely Maybe out them mainly because the band are quite a way away from being 21 and well...they're millionaires. Still there are some very good songs on here, and interestingly enough the best songs aren't all Noels which is a good sign for the future.
Some of the tracks (Lyla particularly) aren't as good as I remember them, but others have grown on me a lot. 'Turn Up The Sun' is brilliant and has to be heard live. 'Love Like A Bomb' is another corker from Liam and 'The Importance of Being Idle' is brilliant in every way. All I can say is bring on the next Oasis album!
Don't believe the hype!

Here we go again... another Oasis album that will be forgotten in time with 'e here whatsername'and 'eathen whatever it was?'
Time Oasis called it a day on the strength of this offering. More of the same useless stuff that wouldn't have been fit for B-sides during the 'Def maybe' era
