This album is great! After The Crusade, which wasn't bad, but let's face it, wasn't the best, I wasn't sure what to expect from Trivium. In the back of my mind I couldn't get away from the niggling feeling that they were going to produce something sub-par, so when I first heard this album it blew me away! The singles early on work well, leaving time for other quality tracks towards the end - notably the title track, which is just phenomenal. A 12 minute masterpiece, and ends the album with a bang leaving you lusting for more! Can't wait for the next album, really recommended.
Metal album of the year?

Quite possibly. Nothing on this album disappoints me as a metal fan, and I have to say it is a heck of a lot better than The Crusade, and dare I say better than Ascendancy and Ember to Inferno? Yes I dare say, because this album is pure brilliance. "Down From the Sky", "Shogun" and "Kirsute Gomen" are three songs you must check out.
All in all, I strongly suggest that if you like heavy metal-you buy this album.
Quite dissapointed

When i recieved the album i was distraught to find that the actual artwork inside the cardboard case didn't have any writing, and more to the point, the name of the tracks were not on the back!!!
The lyrics are not in the book either, just paintings (good ones). So now i have to keep the cardboard cover (which doesn't fit in my CD rack) because its the only thing which has the name of the tracks on it!
