A great album, with Coldplay trying to cheer up a bit!!!
Starts with a great intro with Life in technicolor, and gets better with the thumping 42, which i think is one of their heaviest-rock songs they have done.
Viva la vida is brilliant along with Death and all his friends, though for me, Strawberry swing is the best song, with its summer-fun feel and its beautiful ending, its a great album, def worth the money!!

Great album, different direction. Alot better than X&Y. Coldplay back at their best. Saw them at Wembley only a few weeks ago and they were amazing and the songs they played from this album spoke for themselves. Would definitely recommend.

Having been an avid Coldplay fan for years, I was more than eager for the arrival of Viva La Vida. The album did not disappoint in any way, with tracks such as Viva La Vida, Life In Technicolour, Lovers In Japan and Violet Hill impressing me beyond all others. I saw Coldplay live at the MEN Arena in Manchester on December 10 2008. It is by far the best music concert I have ever been to - well worth the money, the atmosphere was electric and the music divine. This is a completely unmissable album - I urge you to purchase a copy as soon as you can, you will certainly not be disappointed.

This album is absolutely stunning. I fell deeply in love with this music. Strawberry Swing is a favorite of mine; a beautiful song, and Life In Technicolor is a perfect opening to one of the greatest albums so far. Coldplay never cease to proove that they are some of the most talented musicians of all time. I'd recommend this to everyone, and have.

As well as being one of the best albums they have ever released, Viva La Vida reminds you of some of their earlier stuff, such as clocks and yellow, the album starts off slow and then builds up to be a really uplifting album leading up to track seven: Viva La Vida and Violet Hill straight after. A must buy for all Coldplay fans and even for those who have only heard one or two songs on the new album, (which I had) I would recommend it to anyone! A great buy!

Possibly my favourite album of all time

I'll start by saying that i'm a huge coldplay fan. I love almost every single coldplay song i've ever heard and awaited this album for three years after the release of x and y. X and Y was amazing but i think they've brought it to new levels with this record. The music is almost artistic and they create such great melodies such as viva la vida and the arabian strings of strawberry swing. I went to see them in November on the tour and it was so amazing to hear these played live. It is now 8 months since this album was released and i still listen to it every few days when i get a chance. If you liked this, i suggest you order prospekts march EP as it carries on where this left of, and includes Life in technicolour 2, which has become my favourite coldplay song ever. I'm so pleased with this album as i thought it would probably let me down as i have such huge expecatations of coldplay, buy it now, it takes a few listens, but it is so worth it! at 6.99 a total steal!

  Great album

Play it from start to finnish and over again. It's designed to go in a cycle and you'll love it so much you'll keep on going.
My favorite song would be "Death and all of His Friends" for the way it carries the album back to the beginning and spine-fizzing melody.
Different from the usual Coldplay, but still excellent, one of their best (after Parachutes).
