VERY good but approach with caution!

The reason why I say approach with caution is because this collection of material is VERY different to what you would expect of a typical Madonna album. A good majority of it has a lot of deep, dark pulsating dance music, while the rest is beautiful and soothing and very much easy on the ear.
The opening track "Drowned World" instantly encases the listener with warmth and a feeling of being cleansed and follows on with another cleansing session with "Swim".
The first single "Frozen" is not that different and was (at the time) the best thing she had recorded since 1989's "Like A Prayer".
It reached the top spot of the uk charts....and rightly so.
The whole album wreaks of sheer class and leaves the listener feeling freshly cleansed and rejoiced.
For those fans who enjoyed her 80's and early 90's period, and are thinking of buying this album then prepare yourself to be shocked and amazed. It's Madonna at her finest.

I have always liked Madonna over the years and when I heard Ray Of Light for the first time it blew me away, because it was so different to her other stuff but also so brilliant too. The first song Substitute For Love is such a great song as is the title track. All the tracks are good infact and Madonna really was on top form when she did this ablum. The song Little Star is to with her becoming a mother and how much she loves her child. Which is maybe the reason why Ray Of Light is so fantastic being a mother inspired her.
A GOOD MIXED BAG

some songs are random and seem to not follow a pattern, however all songs here have rhythm and beat that will have you dancin all over the house, not the greatest album but it is fairly impressive and much like bedtime stories :)
