The Ballads

I own every single Mariah Carey album and this is another worthy addition to add to the collection.

Every great ballad combined in one album! Brilliant.

Mariah Carey is the greatest female singer in the world and this collection proves that. Sure, we have had all these songs before, remember the Greatest Hits not that long ago? But whilst Mariah continues to define and pave the way musically, vocally and lyrically for not just all the wannabe singers out there but all other artists too, this collection shows just how far she has come in her legendary 18 recording years, with much more still to come.

You could argue that some of these songs aren't officially "ballads" but the addition of songs like "The Roof" show how important and relevent she is. "All I Want For Christmas Is You" is a Christmas modern classic and the inclusion of "Thank God I Found You - Make It Last Remix" shows how effortless is her crossover into R&B and the all important remix.

This is a Sony release, so don't expect anything new, the inclusion of "Reflections" from the VERY underrated Virgin release "Glitter" is a refreshing addition if not to bring more people to her astounding vocals on the "Glitter" album.

This is a must for all Mariah fans and highly recommended even if a Mariah CD wouldn't be your normal purchase.

Love her or hate her (and there seems to be plenty for both!) cast your feelings aside and forget those ridiculous stories that the remarkable British press seem to write about her diva behaviour (most, if all, are always never true) and marvel at one of the greatest artists of this generation whose voice has led her to record breaking achievements and the adoration of millions.

This album is just amazing! It contains every mariah track you will ever want!
