From the moment i heard this women on LATER... WITH JOOLS HOLLAND i just had to hear more, she got my interest and i had to track down the album. From the opening track this album grabs your attention and doesn't let it go. How she isn't a really big star is beyond me.
Every track is well worth including on the album, even the slower ones belong, giving you time for a breather, before once again,we go speeding along. There's a bit of soul,a bit of pop,a bit of several things going on really. A great voice, good to brilliant tracks and better than i dared even hope. I look forward to her follow up,which if anything like this will be an album to play for many years without getting bored. It has to be said,V V BROWN is V V good.

 Excellent!

I saw V V Brown at a recent P!nk concert where she was supporting, and she was awesome. On this basis I bought this album and it's great.

Soul Songstress belts out an amazing album!

VV Brown is clearly one of the best soul singers of 2009 and with the hit 'Shark in the Water' being the best single on her album; we can see her astonishing talent. I recently spoke to VV and asked her about her album; which she described as a 'Doo wop 50's' style, also she is one of the nicest people i have ever spoke to and this is why she is so appealing. However, her album has failed to make a huge impact; but as she stated herself 'Neither did Amy Winehouse's first album' and now look at amy now, 5 grammy wins and a platinum album. So, for all those wondering whether or not to listen to VV; i suggest you give her a chance. :)

 V V ROCKS!

You know when you buy a cd, and one 2 or 3 songs are fab and the rest are 'acceptable'. V V does not at all fall into this category.
Every Single Song is amazing! I would highly reccommed this album to anyone and it suits whatever mood your in.
There are not many artists out at the moment like V V and her voice is quite unique.
My personal faves are:
*Shark in the water
*Game Over
*Crying blood
*I love you
*Back in time

Cant wait for some new tunes V V! xx

This is very good pop album, which was underlooked by the mercury prize judges. In fact I think if V.V. Brown was nominated, she might have beat Speech Debelle
(Sorry for those who still dont know who won!)
She seems more intelligent and articulate than Speech Debelle, even if her songs lack edge.
However I think if V.V. Brown and Speech Debelle had a old school rhyme off Speech Debelle would win.
So V.V. brown or Speech Debelle whose the best, theres only one way to find out -FIGHT!

 Best artist this decade!
