I got this album before Sonisphere as i found them while looking for bands to watch on the smaller stages... So glad I did!!! They are amazingly tight live, if you like thrash metal then buy the album and go see them live!!

Also for fans of Sylosis check out Anterior as well.

  best british album 2008 easy

With the combination of 80's Thrash metal with 90's Gothenburg melodic death metal, with modern metalcore and progressive metal thrown in as extra elements. You have a band that is epic, heavy, melodic, intense and randomized. Amazing band and perfect debut LP. I believe this was easily the British album of 2008 of true heavy metal.

Where do you start, an epic album. From start to finish a brutal assult that goes from chug to thrash, to death metal to harmonys that make the hairs on your neck stand up.
The uk metal scene has needed an album like this to make us believe not all metal comes from abroad. This band can only go from strength to strength. If there was 10 stars...it would get it

A huge breath of fresh air for the UK metal scene

Three British metal acts stand out for me this year - Trigger the Bloodshed, Exit Ten and Sylosis. Sylosis in particular have made a remarkable step with this debut full-length. They manage to take metalcore, thrash and Machine Head-esque guitar work (things that you would consider to be tired concepts) and make them fresh and exciting again. A kick in the teeth for the generic deathcore and metalcore bands spewing out of the UK scene at the moment - these guys will be, and deserve to be, big news. Any fans of modern, razor-sharp guitar work and very varied vocal work will be elated with this album.

What more can I say? Loved The Supreme Oppressor and been waiting for this and it was definitely worth the wait. It's hard to pick highlights since all of it is so great, but Teras is probabaly the best track. Buy it and support British metal!
