"Punk rock has the power to change the world" and if anyone can prove it, The King Blues can. There is not a weak track on this album.
track by track review:
My Boulder - loved it when I first heard it played live. Don't really need to hear it anymore but a good way to start the album
I Got Love - anthem
The Schemers - possibly my fave track on the album. can't stop singing it. One for fans of The Pogues and Flogging Molly.
Underneath This Lamppost Light - yes it is soppy as anything but I have to say I like it, but then I also like More Than Words by Extreme.
Save The World - love the lyrics, not totally sure about hte music although it is catchy.
For You My Darling - Fun and might burn it to a CD for the girlfriend but not my favourite.
The Streets Are Ours - Awesome! Almost as good as the live version. Amazing lyrics and I love the drum solo (there's something I never thought I'd write).
Let's Hang The Landlord - Such an amazing track. There should be more story songs.
Out Of Luck - v pretty and wouldn't be out of place on a billy bragg album from the 80s
Hold On Tight - not my favourite to begin with, but by the end, its awesome
What If Punk Never Happened - I still find this inspiring and moving every time i hear it.
Good price from play.com for this album as well and the CD comes with videos, photos and a comic book on the disc so if you are a fan of TKBs I would buy the CD even if you already have the audio.
