Brilliant Album, Slightly biased because I've been a disturbed fan for years. Best part about it is that it's a rocking masterpiece and he doesn't swear once on the whole album. Lyrics don't need swearing to emphasise it.

I had heard a couple of songs by Disturbed from previous albums and was very impressed, so I decided to order this and see if it was any good. I was blown away. This is a brilliant album for anyone that likes rock/metal music. Each track has a meaning and the lyrics are very catchy. The guitar being played in every song is excellent. Best tracks on here are 'Ten Thousand Fists', 'Stricken', 'I'm Alive' and 'Sons Of Plunder'. If you like heavy metal with agrresive playing and vocals, then this is for you.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Incredibly powerful album!

Top 100 Reviewer

After being introduced to Disturbed upon hearing "Down with the sickness" I was instantly hooked by their sound. Sure it's noisy and aggressive sounding but it carries an addictive energy that really comes across in this album. Standout tracks for me are "Ten Thousand Fists" with that brilliant chorus, "Guarded" with those lyrics about troubled relationships and energetic riffs combined with a brilliant mellow breakdown, this track is full of ups and downs reflecting the emotional lyrics, "Stricken" is awesome, as is "Sons of plunder", "Pain redefined" has to be heard to be believed. Saving the best to last we have "Land of confusion" a cover of the classic Genesis track accompanied by the excellent Todd McFarlane animated video, this is a really great version reflecting the current political climate about who really is in charge in the world. Buy it and you won't ever stop listening to it.

Had this album for some time now and like the previous two i never get sick of them, the good thing about the music is it sounds as good live as it does on the album, I know the guys are in the studio at the moment working on a new album so can't wait to see what they come up with this time, but what ever david, dan, mike and jon come up with i'm sure it will be great.

The most interesting thing about this band in general is that their music is aggresive yet not necessarily brutal. there music can often be found on soundtracks or background music, usually during violence and action. the reason for this is that Draimen's vocals and the lyrics match this particular tone.
anyway, im rambling, songs to look out for include, Stricken, Pain redefined and a cover of Land of Confusion. also, most recently they recordered a track called, "this moment" for the Transformers movie.
