This is the first stuff i have heard of Devs in a long long time, and i knew i was gonna be for a wild ride when i bought this album. The Ultra heavy moody melodies of drums and guitar will have you listening in awe, well it did with me! It is a mixed bag though, if you have never heard any of this album then think........Tool, Pink Floyd and even Mike Oldfield at times with his melodic screaming guitar! to name just a few, but this very very talented man has created these masterpieces to sound unique and they really do! For this price you cant go wrong, just be prepared to be taken into a world of emotion through some damn heavy tracks!
Pure Brilliance

This album is quite simply brilliant. But it is not for everyone. Admittedly it took me a couple listens to truly reliase the brilliance of hte album. Multiple layered melodies, relaxing and heavy, beauitful. Just listen to it and see for yourselves :)
Before you know it you will have the melodies in your head and will be screaming RECYCLE along with Devin :)

Up until the recent release of Ziltoid: The Omniscient, Terria stood out as a defining record for metal mastermind Devin Townsend.
A maelstrom of emotion, Terria takes the listener from dizzying heights of joy down to pits of sorrow. Screams of anger are contrasted with delicate vocals.
If you buy ONE album to introduce you to the genius of Dev, make it this one. You will not be disappointed.
