Black Sabbath

this is what spawned metal. or, doom metal at least, anyway. the title track is just excellent. people were actually scared of this when it first came out, because it was unlike anything they'd ever heard before. it's also one of the albums you should listen to before you die, through my eyes. if this one cd hadn't been released, God only knows what would have happened to the music scene. however, it's not all metal. "N.I.B", though quite Satanic in subject matter, is a rather bluesy song, with a bass solo introduction, which is rare. also, "The Wizard" is a very unusual song as well, with a Harmonica-driven melody. highly recommended.

The Starts Of With Kinda Creepy Black Sabbath Its Kinda Creepy Because Ozzy Wrote The Lyrics After Hearing Bou Geezer Butler(Ithink) Seeing A Black Shadow At The End Of His Bed At Night (Creepy) This A Great Song Great Lyrics And Guitar work. Then Its The Wizard Great Lyrics Mindblowing Heavy Riffs And The Hermonica(I Think Thats What Its Called) Its Awesome |And Works Really Well. Behind The Wall Of Sleep Is Also Amazing To Listen To. N.I.B I Love The Introits awesome I love This Song every bout There one weird and amazing Part Youll know what im talking bout when you hear it. Evil Woman That Took Me Awhile Too Get Into But I Love It now Ozzy's Vocals In This Are Awesome and weird at the same(thats A Good Thing) Sleeping Villiage Is Awesome Havnt listend To It Alot though. Warning Is Amazing 10 minutes Long Mainly instrumental which I Love . Wicked World I love The Guitars In this Mindblowing and ozzy's vocas amazing aswell. I Recommend This To anyone who likes any type of metal, if you like fall out boy mcr(crap) and all that Stuff Stop Listening To that Because They Suck Big Time Compared To this. This Is A must Have In your Collection. I Only Have 2 black sabbath albums(this & Dehumanizer) And Im deffinately gonna get more cause black Sabbath Are An Amazing band. DONT THINK JUST BUY YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This album is awesome, a must buy for fans of older hard rock bands...

Out of all the Black Sabbath Albums of the 70's,I would place this second.I don't like the words Awesome and Heavy Metal because it's none of these.Just a really great album-you will love this if you are into Heavy Jazz Influenced Rock.I have the Vinyl version,this CD version is better.Great songs and fantastic lyrics-mainly written by "Geezer Butler".He was influenced by Denis Wheatley,possibly Hammer Horror Films.There are no bad tracks,although Warning /Sleeping Village are an acquired taste.It is an album that has always been in my collection and is so different from the follow up "Paranoid" which has a funkier sound.Sabotage is the only album to beat this first Masterpiece. You will not be disappointed.

This is the first album i got in the 70's and i still love it today and all the rest of the albums, that Ozzy was singing on. I've got it on vinyl and CD.
