  • Take two years of continuous writing and recording, throw in Lilac Time's Stephen Duffy as a new writing partner and you may have thought 'Intensive Care' would be a worringly apt title. Fear not, Robbie emerges fighting fit with his most complete CD to date. 'Tripping' is just the beginning.

 His best album

| | See all DirtyStopOut's reviews (106)

I love Robbie and this album is definitely his best. None of the songs will ever be as well-known as classics (if they're old enough to be called that) like 'Rock DJ' and 'Angels', but who wants to be like everyone else? I love the almost rocky feel to 'A Place To Crash' and even 'Your Gay Friend' (must be heard to be believed, I suppose!)

 Over the Hill

The King of Radio Pop is dead. Music moves on very quickly & Robbie has struggled to stay with the times. This bland collection of tunes will not return him to the throne.

 Must have album

This CD is the best album robbie has ever bought out. worth every penny! Tracks such as gay friend will be in your head all day! Good song writing which makes the album trully the best!

 A great bargin

What a fantastic bargin. £3 for one of the best pop albums of the 21st Century.

This album displays what a fantastic songwriter Robbie is. Himself and Stephen Duffy created this wonderful record, where each and every song is excellent (which is very rare with albums these days), lyrically it is his best album to date. It is also his most serious and is more like a complete piece of work from a singer-songwriter, as opose to a pop album with loads of potential hit singles. Although there are those classic Robbie pop/rock songs thrown in there as well, such as the worldwide smash hit 'Tripping', and 'A Place To Crash'.

Overall I definatly reccoment this album for all music lovers. It is an excellent diverce pop/rock album, that went onto reach #1 in twenty countries and sell over seven million copies globally.
