...many people think that Slippery was the first Jovi record - it wasnt - it was the 3rd.
This album is the 2nd and IMO one of their best - if you havent got it - get it.
almost as underrated as Keep the Faith is overrated.
10 Songs, 8 of them superb 2 of them average. GO GET IT !!!

Its such a shame that classics such as "In and out of love" off this album will never be heard live because the boys were so ashamed of this album and vowed never to play anything off it again...because there are some truely great songs on it! - especially "Silent Night"

Still...its not up to the standards Bon Jovi have set themselves and it shows, its almost like a foray into mainstream pop rock at the time...and fails.

The vocals and music are top notch...but the songs let them down

Luckily Bon Jovi learnt their lesson and continued with what worked on every album since!
