Prospekts March EP

Life In Tech 2 brings the original to life in a completley new direction. Amazing what you can do with lyrics. I love. Rainy Days just seems amazing!!!!!!! A mix between old Coldplay and the number 1 hit Single" Viva La Vida". Postcards... is a great instrumental. This is a great offering for an EP. Coldplay rule and are coming back in 2009. Coldplay=Best EVER!!!

I'm a huge Coldplay fan, and I have to say that every single track is what you are looking for if you love Coldplay. With the exception of the new version of Lost with Jay-Z, the EP is well worth the buy. I felt slightly cheated with the new versions of Lost and Lovers in Japan (as it didn't really sound different from the original) which is why I rated it 4 not 5. But all the other songs are pure genius and touching - which is what you need from Coldplay.

'Viva la vida' is probably the best album out this year, with catchy tunes and memorable lyrics, whats better than that? Well we have its follow-up ep called 'prospects march' which features newer versions of some of the tracks from the album but also brings on brand new tracks never heard before. Life in technicolor ii gives life to the opening track from the lp and opens the ep with a rush of excitement, and then we have the buy one get one free track prospekts march/poppyfields which is just classic, and also there is a collaboration on lost+ with legendary rapper jay-z. Buying this will make any album collection seem that little bit greater and with 'viva la vida or death and all his friends' we have the perfect combination to create the most mind blowing musical experience in rock music history.

You will not be disappointed with this offering, and make sure to count down towards december 09 when album number 5 shall hit the shelves.

I saw Coldplay live at the Birmingham NIA and they were awesome - all FOUR of them. So why do they have to have some ludicrous "voice over" on Lost+? It only detracted from a great song. This EP is worth the money, particularly as there are more new songs than remixes. But please, no more Jay-Zzzzzzzzz.

According to Coldplay, the making of the 'Viva la Vida' album was their most creative period, and in an attempt to keep that album shorter alot was cut, and so from the cutting room floor we get the EP 'Prospects March'.
When reviewing this it is important to take into consideration that this is an EP, not a full price album, and I feel its silly to include 'Lost+' as the core of the song is the same just with about 20 seconds of Jay-Z, and 'Lovers in Japan (Osaka Mix)' which is practically identical to the original version.
The other songs on the EP are good on the whole, if nothing more. Its sought of a mix of 'Viva' Coldplay and 'Rush of Blood..' Coldplay, with a greater emphasis on more basic tunes than perhaps seen on the lost albums, with 'Glass of Water' being the prime example. Also there is 'Life in Technicolour II' which is the sister of the song of almost the same title off the last album, just with lyrics making it an obvious single choice.
There is not much else to say really, if you like Coldplay you will probably like this, but its not going to win any new fans.
