City and Colour (named after Dallas Green, Dallas-City, Green-Colour), the new side project for Dallas Green is musically far from the post hardcore band he fronts, Alexisonfire, but is equally amazing. Dallas Green is known in Alexis for his astonishingly good voice and melodic harmonies and here in Sometimes, the first City And Colour album, we get hear this voice shine through with simple acoustic songs. This album is brilliant to put on and actually LISTEN to rather than in the background as then you really can appreciate the actual music. The lyrics on this album are also very good, and seem to be quite revealing and personal, whether they are about Dallas or not, you can still relate to them yourself. The stand out tracks include "Off By Heart...", "Like Knives", "Save Your Scissors", "Comin' Home" and "Casey's Song" but the album as a whole really flows well, and song after song you get to appreciate Dallas' vocals, lyrics and guitar.
