They wanted to make even more "violent" album then Sacrament.Well they did exactly that.I bought Scrament solely because of "Redneck", and then I was blown away by whole record. It's rarely(and I mean extremely rarely) that I like all tracks of the same CD,and yet Sacrament was one of them.Wrath is like Sacrament,in a way, but as I said even more brutal. It might fool you at first with it's opening track "The Passing",which is surprisingly calm and melodic. Then you'll hear the ominous scream and the exelent transaction to "In Your Words".Terrific guitars and bass,Chris Adler drumming aggressively, and then Randy Blythes brutal scream concludes the metal GREATNESS that is Lamb of God.From that point on it's raging inferno of a record.I could go on and on,but honestly no words can discribe it.I won't even write down "stand-out" or "recommended" track.Let's just say that there's one more album that I like from beginning to the end.
Oh and the packaging is damn awesome as well.

I have listened to many metal albums and from the first time I heard this one it really caught my attention. The production is great, the band, particularly Chris Adler on drums, is very talented and the album improves with every listen.
Highly recommended.

The best lamb of god album!!

totally agree with lotuseater.this is their best work to date but i think their best is yet to come.stand out tracks like set to fail, contractor, broken hands and choke sermon will always have the most play counts on my itunes library.but non the less a brilliant, head banging metal album.

Good, but still short of classic

With Wrath, Lamb of God have produced their finest album yet but one which again is frustratingly, almost agonisingly short of a full-blown metal classic. There are some superb songs - mainly Contractor, Fake Messiah and Grace, but also some filler material which, whilst still good to listen to, are not the kind of songs that will live long in the memory.

There is no doubt as to how Lamb of God have progressed positively with every album (no mean feat given the quality on offer before, especially on Sacrament) but they still seem short of producing one that can be held in the same vein as Master of Puppets, A Vulgar Display of Power or The Blackening. As such Wrath is a recommended album for any metal head, but not an essential one.

  Enjoyable!

While Lamb of God has always been brutal, I don't think I have heard them quite so brutal since their beginnings.

Wrath is fast and furious, without any let-ups. While it is not my absolute favourite LoG album (that goes to Ashes of the Wake), it has been a very positive experience while listening.

If I had to recommend any songs for listening, they would certainly be Contractor and Reclamation. if you like something fast and brutal to listen to, I can't really suggest this album enough.

  Wrath...album of the year!!!

| | See all BucsFan's reviews (3)

This is the year of Lamb of God's 6th album release and quite possibly their best to date!!! Wrath the album is what the metal world has been waiting for. A classic full throttle ride that takes the listener through a musical ride which only gets better with every play. The whole band are on form, particularly yet again the stunning guitar work of duo Mark Morton and Willie Adler - two guitarists that are surely now up there with the all time great's from Maiden, Priest etc. Randy Blythe's vocals sound like he's been gargling with crushed glass and delivered with the venom of a deadly snake!!! Chris Adler's drumming puts many of the greats to shame with speed and technical terms of his play and it's good to hear John Campbell's bass solo chugging on 'Contractor'!!!

Stand out tracks??? The whole darn album in my eyes!!!

Lamb of God are the future of heavy metal!!! Forget Trivium and Bullet For My Valentine...this band is REAL heavy metal!!!

If everyone so far has given this album 5 stars then it's gotta be the real deal!!!

In 2009 nobody will top this album...close the polls now because we have a winner!!! Thank-you Lamb of God!!!

This is one of the BEST metal albums this year, possibly the best Lamb of God have ever written.
The Album Starts off quietly with 'The Passing' but soon drops you right in with 'In Your Words.'

This Cd is definitely worth owning! Buy it now!!
