This was easily my favourite album of 2006. The first couple of plays in the car almost went un noticed, but somehow song after song got under my skin. On and On and Suzie got played on Radio 1 every now and then and it was Suzie that got me hooked with it's brilliant chorus - this is the incredible thing about this record - there are so many superb choruses. Ivy Parker's another scream along one. And it's not just the tunes. The lyrics are mostly about relationships, but not simply your basic "I love you" tosh, there's much more depth. If you've ever found yourself with the wrong person, On My Own and Ivy Parker will strike a chord, as will the secret song that follows Shoot Me Down. Civil Sin is brilliant - another "tune"; Killer's the worst song for me and Friday Friday and Showdown aren't bad. But not every track can be Ivy Parker good... I stood at the bar 6' away from Chris Peck while the support were on. The man's a genius...
