I bought the album a couple of months ago. Listened to it once and put it away, thinking it was an average album. 3 weeks ago i took it for another spin, and have not stopped listening to it since. This is a great album, where every song stands out in one way or another.
The best music isn't the ones you love at first listen, but those you have to hear 4-5 times before they really get stuck in your head.
This was billed as a cd dvd deluxe edition on preorder ( I got the on the outside dvd edition) but it is a double audio edition the second cd has acoustic versions and a new track also.
I have not listened to all of it as yet nearly through it but so far on my first listen its generally ok but the songs are not immediate to me like on the outside nothing in melody or lyric that catches my attention except maybe 'Thames' wich is stand out so far, but like I said havent listen to it all about three tracks from end, the cd is presented in a glossy digipak with b&w photography nicely presented, I only own the last studio album which seems coherant with classic tracks is great from start to finish 'on the outside, this sounds ok but nothing life changing, walshes voice irratates slighly after a while on this songs seem similar. but I will listen to completion and a few more times it may grow on me like other albums in the past.
