I stumbled onto the lead single for this album (Thank You, Pain) on youtube whilst searching for new bands to listen to. Picking up the album was most definitely a wise move.
It's simultaneously beautiful and discordant, harmonious and dissonant - all instrumentalists are technically proficient and display strong songwriting skills - there isn't a part that doesn't fit seamlessly into their arrangements. The vocals are probably going to turn more heads however - varying between a death growl, high-pitched screams and classical styles effortlessly and impressively.
Bottom line? You like melodic death metal, you NEED this. No two ways about it.
