I suspect if you asked the vast majoity to name a 'chris de burgh' number most would say 'lady in red' and why not, it would probably be among the all time top playlist down the years.
Of course 'chris' has penned and recorded so much more since.
This album takes us on a musical journey through the years, and includes many songs that many of us would hold dear to our memories of the pop scene.
The album includes a couple of 'beatles' numbers which he really has done justice to in this recording, among the many other favourites is 'africa' 'without you' 'american pie' 'sealed with a kiss' and the never ending classic 'where have all the flowers gone' and many more, more importantly they are performed really with obvious reverance, the album is a tribute to the songs included and is without doubt 'easy listenning'
Prior to this album i'd only purchased one 'chris de burgh' 'cd' which i probably bought in the main for that one number.
This album is in my opinion well worth a spin, if 'chris' gives us another compilation to this high standard i for one would buy again.
Enjoy
