Good but a bit bland

I know this will be unpopular but....I have most Floyd albums and a few other bits and pieces, and Gilmour is a very talented guitarist, not a bad lyricist and an interesting if introverted performer. This album is pleasant to listen to, but it just does not hit any real high points. The guitaring as always is excellent, but strangely unmemorable. The lyrics float past, but without any really arresting moments or insights. It is the sort of album that I am glad I have, but will probably never listen to again - rather like 'obscured by clouds' which I thought it resembled in parts.
Not a bad track to be heard. Favourite Gilmour album.

In a nutshell, this holds an amazingly chilled out, laid back feel throughout the whole album, that I honestly cannot find on any other artists albums. I just hope he will eventually keep the material coming out. Definitely my favourite musician ever. Love it!
Dave Gilmour is probably the best guitarist of all time and is very much underated. If you like melodic guitar this album is a must.
great
