 I CAN'T FAULT IT

I thought perhaps seems this band have been going for years, this album might be a letdown,it is not.
From the brilliant opening of KITTY LITTER to the very catcy BATTLE FOR THE SUN to the beautiful THE NEVER-ENDING WHY,and finishing off with the very impressive KINGS OF MEDICINE. With all that and all the other top quality tracks inbetween, what is there to fault?. It appears some people don't like this album, but i would say PLACEBO most definitely have not lost it.

Worst album yet by a once good band...

This album is Placebo's worst to date. The lyrics are terrible and contrived, the songs are dull. I was massively disappointed as had been looking forward to this album for a while. It's probably one of the worst albums I have bought. I think they have lost it.

Placebo - Battle For The Sun. "Not Arf".

You don't have to be a pointless spotty goth/emo type to love this band. I am a 43 year old rock fan and have loved these guy's ever since i heard Infa Red. I bought the album Meds and was so blown away that i purchased all their previous album's and all of them are fantastic.
This latest album is as good as everything they have done to date. I would have given it five star's but had to take one away because of the hand clap's on a few of the tracks, (please don't do it again guy's).
I can't wait for the new album out in May 2010.
Thank you for reading this review and may your God go with you.

With this fantastic new album Placebo proves that everything and nothing is new under the sun!

No one can deny that the special Placebo sound is still heavily present in this new album. Yet is sounds nothing like any of the old albums.

The tunes are ambiguously optimistic and bitter sweet, and as a listener you are left craving more.

Listen and love

Great album, took a couple of listens but now I can't stop playing it. only weak song as far as I am concerned is Ashtray Heart and that is only because it 'feels' a bit too much like all the other bands out there at the moment - no character if that makes sense. Otherwise highly recommended.

 God Awful

Never heard of this band so i gave them a try, all the songs are terrible. The singer CANNOT sing to save his life and the music is worse!!! don't waste your money seriously

 JUST STUNNING!!!!!!!

This is, in our opinion, the most complete Placebo album so far. Every track is an anthem and we can't wait to see them play live in December!!!. Some tracks are real growers which evolve the more you listen to them but most are instantly brilliant!!. Buy this album it is just amazing!!!.
