 Best Band On Earth

By The Way has been my favorite RHCP album for years and when Stadium Arcadium was released I was not disappointed. The Red Hot Chili Peppers have an amazing talent of being able to produce totally different albums from previous ones and still manage to make them outstanding. I don't think I've went a few days without listening to at least one song from this album since it came out and I'm still listening now. Brilliant album.

 Not the best

This isn't, certainly, the best Red Hot Chilli Pepers' album, but still has some very interesting singles, like Dani California, Tell Me Baby and Charlie

 amazing!

this album is absolutely beautiful and amazing - every song just makes you so happy, I've been listening to it for years, and lost one of the discs the other day so now must buy it again - it truly is the best album I've ever heard by any artist

you either love it or hate it

there are many things to like about this album but it requires an 'active' listener to appreciate the quality of musicianship. there are certainly big singles "dani california" and "tell me baby" offering the immediacy that made earlier album, Californication, so popular but there is more to Stadium Arcadium than catchy, disposable hits. the biggest highlight is John Frusciante's lead guitar solos which are on another level - innovative, flowing and so passionate. he doesn't let up; this is truly the work of a world class guitarist. the overall tone of the album is similar to By the Way - a laid back, chilled out vibe. however, the ways in which the music transitions and progresses into unexpected territories makes the album interesting and unpredictable. it would be easy to criticise the album for being too long and including filler but if they left some songs off, obscure and unique numbers such as "wet sand" which i have grown to love, may not have made the cut. i agree though, it is not like the classic Blood Sugar.. or the much loved Californication with well-ordered, succinct selections of tracks so it will lose a star for this reason but then again, isn't that the beauty of having the 'skip' button on the cd player? much to explore on Stadium Arcadium, glad i bought it.

 Brilliant!

This album is great and includes such great tracks such as dani california, snow, hump de bump and readymade are some of my favourites but there is something for anyone in this 2cd album. You're sure to love this album. It's a shame John Frusciante has left the rhcp but his solo work is amazing.

Maybe the best rock album ever

I'm a huge Red Hot Chili Peppers fan and own every album they have ever released but i can honestly say that this isn't the Chili Peppers at their best. Through-out their career you can see a progression in the music from the funky perfection of 'Blood Sugar Sex Magic', to the troubled rock of 'One Hot Minute' to the emotional and mature 'Californication'. 'By The Way' was again a progression with the group experimenting with varied styles of music and it felt as though the band were creating something fresh and interesting, but here on Stadium Arcadium the music feels distinctly tired and the songs are usually by the numbers funk rockers.

Tracks like 'Hump de Bump' and 'Dani California' are hardly likely to challenge anything on 'Mother's Milk' or 'Freaky Styly' for energetic funk, and the slower numbers such as 'Snow' and 'Slow Cheetah' are good but lack the emotional impact of anything off 'Californication'.

It's not terrible (any album with John Frusciante playing guitar can't be bad) but it's a disappointing release from such a technically gifted group of musicians.

 Best Album Ever...

This album is a must have for any Chilli fans. It just rocks, plain and simple. Some really quality songs and personnally my favourite Peppers album ever (just beats live in Hyde Park). Even if your not a RHCP fan I hope this album will convert you some songs are just soo well written with great lyrics and all round quality instrimentals.

Well worth a tenner with 2hours worth of songs over 2 CDs a must have for any music lovers. x

It gets better as it plays

The singles are at the start of the play list on both sides, but I think it gets better as it plays. The further on the album goes the better it gets and that is the sign of a good album I reckon. They marry together all the elements of their previous albums(funk, rock, etc) and it actually works. so if you like all their other albums you should like this. It also has lasting appeal.

 brilliant
