Wall Of Arms

Another album of great quality from the maccabees, it still has the same charming melodies and basslines that you would expect with a more mature head on it. The album is another one of those growers too and everytime i listen to it it seems to get better and better!! This is easily one of the best albums to come out in a long time and although i think its a tad short at 37 minutes long i have no complaints as there is not one filler or track that i find myself skipping. If you are in two minds about this album i suggest you give it a listen first, but if your taking as punt then i would suggest you do so! Tracks "one hand holding", "can you give it", "dinosaurs" and "william powers" are the tracks that really stand out with me. Furthurmore unlike the first album that was recorded in bits and bobs this album was recorded in one go, which certainly lends itself to the more rounded and sophisticated feel of the album. Personally i love it and would recommend this to anyone who either is into their brit rock/indie or anyone looking for some "new" music in a market saturated with talentless pop. Its the album of the summer!!

listened to 'no kind words' which is utterly amazing and was completely made up by how good a band they are, they really just get better ith each song. Can not wait for this album!!!

I only discovered this band a week ago after seeing Love you better on NME tv..... i have bought this album today and it's superb.... very distinctive voice and sound..... i have booked my ticket to see them in Newcastle in October too...... awesome

briliant from start to finish...i was enthralled from start to finish, another album of pure brilliance form the maccabees.
would definitely recomend to others :D

pretty much one of the best albums i've listened to in a long time, started out like yeah its good but after the third time your hooked every song is a tune
