I think this is a great album! back to his best, didnt know what to expect as the last pulp and first solo album wernt great to be honest. The album gets of to the best start with the quality track further complications followed by Angela which im sure will be a hit single, on a whole jarvis is back to his rocky best, also seems to be getting horny in his older years! as im sure you will find out!
I was surprised at how good this album is - I wasn't too impressed with Jarvis' first solo album, it had a couple of good momentsa but was generally a lazy affair.
So Mr Cocker has gone back to the drawing board, thrown out the flabby ballads and slow-builders (mostly) and come up with this short, sharp shock of bitterness, heartbreak and bewilderment. And it rocks - plenty of 70s-tinged grooves on here - a new dawn for Jarvis Cocker.
