- This debut album by the Australian four-piece, produced lovingly by Ken Nelson (Coldplay), is a thrilling and impressive collection of songs, made special by the rather remarkable voice of Juanita Stein. Together with guitarist brother Joel, her songs are dreamy, sensual and dark.

I came across Howling Bells 2 years ago when they were supporting Placebo and they stole the show from them. Very easy listening and don't get the recoletion they deserve. Seen them live a few times since and everyone that does see them would agree that they are truely the best kept secret at the moment. A fantastic album and if you get the chance to see them live don't pass up on the chance. Lead singer is stunning which always helps and has beautiful vocals. Anyone that's going to Latitude Festival they will be there on friday. See you there!!
brilliant and underated

this album is fantastic from the grungey rifts and sexy vocals of 'low happening' to the sad but moving sounds of 'in the woods' i can't get enough of it!
